Laws in Gws

For those who know me well, you will know that half of my gaming time is on Guildwars. It’s a game that either you like a lot about it or you do not like it at all. It is just like green earl tea, where only those who like that unique flavor will enjoy it.

In the game, I know of two characters by the name of Lythiel and Averyn. In real life, they are my sister’s boyfriend and my sister. For convenience, the rest of my LAW will be used to represent Lythiel And (W)Averyn. (Not used to calling my sister by in-game name, so I used her real name’s first letter instead.)

Some laws in Gws
Law 1 – buy couple clothing.
Law 2 – take couple photos at nice scenery.
Law 3 – only party with the other half.

Off the sky and back to earth

I went for my first interview today. It was a bad bad flop. Physically, I was ok, but mentally I wasn’t. The questions are were so simple, but being not a fanatic in the area, I got nuts to say. Ended up, I felt I presented myself so badly. Paiseh, no more dinner treat for my image consultant.

No more airhead thoughts, it is back to earth, back to reality. Prepare yourself for the next interview. No more flops will be accepted again.

Rare Breed

Constantine again

2 years ago, I watched the show Constantine. This show had a significant meaning to me as it marks the end of a relationship between me and someone that was dear.

2 years later from that day, the same show aired on channel 5 and coincidentally I sat through the whole show unknowingly. Is destiny telling me it marks the end of another relationship?

Bird Worm Wolf Mouse

Am just back from a gathering with my poly friends. Had dinner at Mad Jacks café. A session of updating one another about themselves and kpohing about what others are doing.

The group of four with nicks of bird, worm, wolf and mouse. Strangely, these four innocent nicks have a conniving resemblance of the four animals in the mahjong game. Lol.

An update on each animal at the current stage.

Bird – In the marine line in a position that holds the amount of responsibility of four people. That why he’s having long hours of work nowadays and only can meet out during the weekends without overnights. Married a cute, pretty, lively and little bride.

Worm – Still in SIM. Still single. But no longer getting gold for IPPT. He will be taking the 42km marathon organized by Standard Charted coming December. Training very hard, covering 10km in his training and going higher by the day.

Wolf – Looking for a job. Thinking of what to do in the next lap of his life. Troubled with many things that lie ahead of him currently. Trying to stay clam and decide which is the best route to take. Also single.

Mouse – Stopped school. Decided to venture out himself and find his first pot of gold. Ambitious and willing to try anything that gives his a chance. Have a girlfriend. But wonder if it will be the last.

So this makes up an update on each of the animals on 22nd Sep 2007. Let’s stay tune to how each of them will proceed when they move forward together in this game called ‘life’ and see what surprises are installed for them. Till the next update, may friendship like these last on forever.

Deferment

Yesterday, I got deselected from a job interview when I told them I will be having reservist for the next 2 weeks. Manzz... Someone teach me how not to hate SAF when such things happen.

Didn’t have a good night sleep last night. I keep waking up at an hour’s interval. Not kidding! Every time I woke up thinking its time to get up and prepare but only to realize that only an hour had past. This on and off had really gave hell to me early morning.

Getting off the bus and realizing it’s a 600+m walk from the bus-stop to the gate of the camp didn’t help with my aching head. Reached there and was instructed to wait and wait at the canteen. Finally someone came and took us to an air-conditioned room. Felt a little better.

After a whole mess of things, the instructor called me out and tells me to look for the deferment lady. What luck! They said that they are unable to let me off a day for my interview and suggested me to defer for the whole course.

The deferment lady, after seeing me directed me to another chief deferment lady. But the chief deferment lady is not within the same camp, but rather 32km away! Just when my numb head was getting some reaction to the 32km, a going to be deferred guy beside me said he has his transport and offered me a ferry to the chief deferment clerk. I must have stepped on a 4 leaf clover somewhere along the way when I traveled here.

After meeting up with the chief deferment lady and explaining my situation to her, with a frown, she said my reason is not a valid one for deferment. But due to some ISO standard, the course instructors cannot accept me and she finally approved my deferment! Lady luck must have been walking her dog and past me this morning.

^_^ If I am allowed to make a wish now, I would want two things. Details will not be given, but after repeated generalization and simplification, I offer three words. Money and Woman. Lol

PS: deferment lady and chief deferment lady are not the actual title of the two wonderful ladies mentioned in the entry above.

Family update

I just cleaned the cages of Laura and Lyla. Dead beat... Stupid brother, run away to Japan and leave both of them in my care. Better buy presents back for me!

A little update on my family.

Dad and Mum are applying for their “er hu” examination. Got to know about it after answering a call from their examination center saying their application forms had inadequate information. The girl on the other end of the phone had a sweet voice. ^^

My sister started a blog after I insisted for the reason of keeping my bro updated on the happenings in our family. And yup, it’s also the same reason that I started a new blog.

My “tang ge”’s wife is pregnant! Forecasted to be a CNY baby girl! Lol. The second baby that will be arriving into my family and the first niece I will be having. The first baby is not my nephew but rather my cousin. Bahaha... a cousin that is 26yrs younger then me. ^^

Next, something I am not really proud of though the person involved was. Lol. My chicky cousin drove a buggie into the drain. She even got it video camed and posted it on youtube to show everyone. I sincerely asked her to reconsider about taking her driving license.

Me? Nothing much. Still alone, still jobless, still nuaing at home waiting to go reservist. Bleh.

Hair Cut

I am robbed of my hair. Lol. It’s short with a slope now!

I did have the intention to keep my hair short since I will be stepping into the working world soon. But because of my coming ICT, I had postponed my haircut two weeks so as to go in camp without trouble.

This postponed had let my original lengthy hair grew even more. It’s messy but is like a coat to keep my neck warm. Lol. (I know it’s disgusting to hear such words from a guy, just trying to add effect.) The sudden removal of the coat left me a chilling breeze behind my neck. I just need some time.

Caught the show “No reservations”.

Romance + kinship = a movie that touches the heart

Simple plot, nothing complex. A nice show to bring your gf/bf to watch. Though not as good as Wimbledon, I still give it a high rating. ^^ 4 Stars!

Sunday Morning Prata

Sunday morning, 10:32am

Didn’t expect that I will start writing a new blog after the old one. Reason? Cause I tend to write too much things when I blog and it makes me become too predictable for anyone who is a frequent reader of my blog. Lol.

Sunday morning, prata breakfast with my parents. Didn’t want to wake up initially as I chatted with a friend till quite late last night. But continuous bugging woke me up and I just switched to zombie mode and went out with them.

Something woke me up from my zombie state at the coffee shop! I won’t say more, to protect my privacy and keep people in suspense. Lol. Just say that I saw a look-a-like friend there.

Nothing else interesting to report, just that the Indian lady ‘da pao’ the wrong amount of prata for us again. Instead of 3 plain +1 egg, she gave us 2 plain + 3 eggs. The mistake had kept my mum counting and re-counting, wondering if they increased the price of pratas again.

Back home, had a mass chat with my bro (in Japan) and cousin. Topic is about hard to earn money the decent way. Conclusion? Be a drug lord, porn king or DVD pirate! ^^

Empty

The room feels empty for the first time I woke up.

Lyla is scared of vegy!
Lol, ran away when I passed him a leaf of spinach.

On the brighter side,
Laura went into the bigger cage! Without force!!!
First thing he did, walk the whole parameter. Lol
When he reach the water container, he 'surveillanced' the area and took a slip of water after a long moment. (I can't stop laughing)
But he's still scared of Lyla upon contact. (Sigh)
